Job description

Join Our Team as a Frontend Engineer!

CHILI publish is developing the most advanced and flexible online editing platform to automate repetitive tasks for graphic designers, convert static documents into smart templates, and fit seamlessly into any stack or data system.

We want to strengthen our Javascript chapter with a Frontend Engineer to design and build our user-centric frontend applications.

What you will do:

  • Be a 'hands-on' software engineer contributing to the entire agile development cycle
  • Build user-friendly and accessible responsive web applications using Typescript, React, CSS (SCSS or CSS-In-JS mostly) and HTML5
  • Make sure the code adheres to high quality standards using best practices in design and development
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders and scrum team members using your business skills

Job requirements

You tick these boxes:

  • Graduate with a degree in Computer Science or minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in well-tested frontend development using Javascript and Typescript (or at least knowledge of another strongly typed language), React (or similar) and Jest
  • Eager to learn and share the latest advancements in frontend technologies
  • Performance is key, every re-render counts and you know how to safeguard that
  • You will use your eye for detail, so our UX designer believes he’s watching his own mock-ups
  • Familiar working in a multi-disciplinary team using Git and CI/CD as the backbone of a Code Reviewing process (which we also expect you to participate in, sharing is caring)

We’re not searching for a “Full-Stack” developer, but don’t forget to mention if you have one of these skills:

  • Knowledge on CICD pipeline configuration for frontend applications or GitHub Actions
  • Knowledge about Node, webpack, babel, NextJS, …
  • Experience in writing plugins for other applications (Adobe CC suite, extensions for web browsers such as chrome, …)
  • A solid knowledge of API design, so that you can participate in contract-refinement sessions
  • Practical experience in building Cloud solutions on a service like Azure, AWS, GCP, … and cherry on top of that experience in TerraForm
  • Experience in writing technical documentation

Here’s why you’ll love working with us:

Ownership: You will take charge of tasks, seeing them through from start to finish. We encourage a proactive approach and accountability in all our endeavors.
